Pursuant to sections 130 to 133 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the following notice is given.

Notice

1. Title and Commencement

This notice may be cited as the Nursing Council of New Zealand (Fees) Notice 2024. This notice revokes and replaces the Nursing Council of New Zealand (Fees) Notice 2022, New Zealand Gazette, 8 March 2022, Notice No. 2022-gs775.

2. Fees and Levies

The Nursing Council of New Zealand (“Council”) sets the following fees and levies, payable to the Council, specified in the attached Schedule. All fees and levies are non-refundable.

3. Tax

The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.

4. Rationale

The Council has amended and updated the fees for nursing medals. See the explanatory note below.

Rationale for changes to nursing medal fees

The Council has updated the fees for the nursing medals in line with the new actual costs associated with the medals. The Council has also reduced the cost for a replacement medal, also in line with the new actual costs.
