Pursuant to regulation 26 of the Fisheries (Kaimoana Customary Fishing) Regulations 1998, the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries gives the following notice.

1. Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Notification of Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for Te Puna Mātaitai) Reserve Notice 2024.

2. Commencement

This notice comes into force on 6 June 2024.

3. Mātaitai Reserve

This notice applies to Te Puna Mātaitai Reserve that was declared by the Fisheries (Declaration and Notification of Te Puna Mātaitai Reserve and Appointment of Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki Notice 2013 (No. MPI 177), New Zealand Gazette, 1 August 2013, No. 97, page 2593.)

4. Appointment

1. The Minister for Oceans and Fisheries has appointed Joanne Lee Civil as a tangata kaitiaki/tiaki for the mātaitai reserve.
2. The appointment took effect on 30 April 2024.
