Section 37 of the Biosecurity Act 1993

Under section 37B(1)(c) of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I vary the approval, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 4 October 2019, Notice No. 2019-go4658, of Port of Lyttelton (located at Gladstone Quay, Lyttelton and operated by Lyttelton Port Company Limited CN: 408061), as a place of first arrival to receive the following craft and cargo types subject to the limitations specified:

Limitations:

Port of Lyttelton is able to receive the following craft:

  • Commercial Vessels
  • Private Recreational Vessels
  • Commercial Passenger Vessels
  • Defence Force Craft

that are able to discharge the following risk good types:

  • Containers and General Cargo
  • Bulk Cargo (Approved Systems)
  • Bulk Cargo (Non-approved systems)
  • Vehicles and Machinery
  • Passengers, Crew and their Personal Effects
  • Live Animals (Zoo animals only)

A copy of the written notice of approval may be inspected or obtained at the Ministry for Primary Industries, Charles Fergusson Building, 38–42 Bowen Street, Wellington.
