Section 37 of the Biosecurity Act 1993

Under section 37B(1)(c) of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I vary the approval, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 September 2005, No. 152, page 3748, of Port Napier (located at Breakwater Road, Napier and operated by Port of Napier Limited, CN: 397567) as a place of first arrival to receive the following craft and cargo types:

Limitations:

Port Napier is able to receive:

  • Bulk Carriers
  • General Cargo Vessels
  • Livestock Carriers
  • Naval/Military Vessels
  • Other Vessels (i.e. Dredge, Fishing, Oil Rigs)
  • Passenger Vessels
  • Tankers

that are able to discharge the following cargo types:

  • Bulk Cargo
  • Bulk Liquids
  • Containers
  • General Cargo
  • Passengers, Crew and Baggage
  • Vehicles and Machinery

A copy of the written notice of approval may be inspected or obtained at the Ministry for Primary Industries, Charles Fergusson Tower, 34–38 Bowen Street, Wellington.
