Pursuant to section 39A of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment gives notice of amendment of the expiry date of certain accreditation qualifications referred to in the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 25 July 2013, No. 94, page 2523. An extension to these qualifications is required due to unavoidable and unanticipated delays in the delivery of the “Making Good Decisions” recertification course resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19 and the issue of the Epidemic Preparedness (COVID-19) Notice 2020.
These amendments take effect on the date of publication of this notice. The amendments are as follows:
Insert new clause 7A as follows:
“7A: Qualifications under clause l(a) or l(b) that would ordinarily expire on 30 June 2020 by the operation of clauses 4 or 5 will expire on 31 December 2020.”
Effect of this notice:
This notice amends the “Replacement of Notice of Accreditation Under the Resource Management Act 1991”, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 25 July 2013, No. 94, page 2523, only to the extent specified in this notice.
Dated at Wellington this 2nd day of June 2020.
Hon DAVID PARKER, Minister for the Environment.
