Pursuant to section 45(3)(b) of the Maritime Security Act 2004, I, Keith Manch, Chief Executive and Director of Maritime New Zealand, hereby revoke the designation of the following area as a port security area, previously operated by Ports of Auckland Limited, described as:

Wynyard Wharf

All that wharf area within the fenced boundary bordered by Brigham Street and Jellicoe Street and the sea.

This revocation does not affect the existing designation published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 August 2004, No.104, page 2574 of the following areas as port security areas operated by Ports of Auckland Limited:

  1. Main Port – All that area within the fenced boundary from Queens Wharf, the entire length of Quay Street to Fergusson Wharf, Mechanics Bay but excluding Tinley, Tooley and Plumer Streets.
  2. Princes Wharf – All that wharf area within the fenced boundary including the entire berthing area and adjacent passenger terminal.

This revocation comes into force on the day after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
