Specification of Road User Charges Notice 2019
Pursuant to section 90A of the Road User Charges Act 2012, I, Bryan Talbot, Senior Technical Advisor at the NZ Transport Agency, give the following notice.
1. This notice is the Specification of Road User Charges Notice 2019.
(1) This notice, except for clause 5, comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
(2) Clause 5 of this notice comes into force on 15 August 2019.
The road user charges set out in the Schedule apply on and from 15 August 2019.
(1) Part 1 of the Schedule sets out the road user charges for certain vehicle and vehicle combination types.
(2) Part 2 of the Schedule sets out the road user charges for certain specialist vehicles (as identified in clause 5.11(2) of Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Dimensions and Mass 2016).
(3) Part 3 of the Schedule sets out the rates of road user charges for the purpose only of assessment of unpaid road user charges.
