Section 222(1) of the Land Transfer Act 2017 allows the Registrar-General of Land (“Registrar”) to specify how a notice required or permitted by the Act to be given to the Registrar may be given.
I specify that a notice may be given:
- by emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org; or
- by sending or delivering it from an electronic workspace facility.
This specification replaces the notice titled “Statutory Specification – Land Transfer Act 1952” specifying facsimile addresses for notices to be given under sections 145(1) and 145A(3) of the Land Transfer Act 1952 published in the New Zealand Gazette, 21 August 2008, No. 131, page 3406.
This notice takes effect from Monday 12 November 2018.
