Notice of Final Determinations of the Minister for Land Information on Official Geographic Names
Pursuant to section 16 of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 (“Act”), notice was given in the New Zealand Gazette, 28 May 2015, Issue No. 58, Notice No. 2015-ln3065, of proposals by the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) to alter existing recorded geographic names.
The Board dealt with the submissions received for the proposals according to section 18 of the Act.
Having considered two separate reports from the Board, I hereby declare that my final determinations, made pursuant to sections 20(2) and 20(3) of the Act, are to alter the existing recorded geographic names as described in the Schedule below.
I made my decisions on 5 November 2015, and my final determinations on these names will take effect on 19 November 2015.

Winton Burn | Stream | A river that flows generally south for approximately 20km from its source on the eastern side of Livingstone Mountains 1.5km north-east of Moffat Peak, into Mararoa River. NZTopo50-CC09 174043 (source) to 201866 (confluence). Alteration from Windon Burn (recorded name) and extent changed. |
