EIPC (Provision of Information to System Operator) (No 2) Amendment 2025
1. Under section 38 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 (“Act”), and having complied with section 39 of that Act, the Electricity Authority (“Authority”) gives notice of making the Electricity Industry Participation Code (Provision of Information to System Operator) (No 2) Amendment 2025 (“amendment”).
2. This amendment comes into force on 1 December 2025.
3. The amendment amends clause 9.18 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (“Code”) to enable the system operator to require participants to provide information to the system operator that is relevant to the system operator’s implementation of and compliance with the security of supply forecasting and information policy or emergency management policy.
4. The amendment makes permanent changes to the Code previously made urgently by the Electricity Industry Participation Code (Provision of Information to System Operator) Amendment 2025 which would otherwise expire nine months after the date on which that amendment came into force.
5. The amendment is secondary legislation for the purpose of the Legislation Act 2019 and is administered by the Authority.
