The Commerce Commission hereby gives notice that the Grocery Supply Code 2025 (“code”) was made under section 12 of the Grocery Industry Competition Act 2023 on 16 October 2025.

The code comes into force on the later of the following dates:

• the date on which regulation 9 or 10 of the Grocery Industry Competition Regulations 2023 is first revoked or amended; and
• 1 May 2026.

The code is secondary legislation for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2019.

The code is administered by the Commerce Commission. A copy of the code is available on www.comcom.govt.nz.
