This notice notifies the making and publication of three new drinking water acceptable solutions (“Acceptable Solutions”) under the Water Services Act 2021 (“Act”) by the Chief Executive of the Water Services Authority—Taumata Arowai, acting under delegated authority.

The titles of the Acceptable Solutions are:

• Water Services (Mixed-use Rural) Drinking Water Acceptable Solution 2025
• Water Services (Small to Medium Networks) Drinking Water Acceptable Solution 2025
• Water Services (Self-supplied Buildings) Drinking Water Acceptable Solution 2025

2. Date

The Acceptable Solutions were made on 3 September 2025.

3. Empowering provisions

Water Services Act 2021, section 50 and Legislation Act 2019, section 48.

4. Administering agency

The Water Services Authority—Taumata Arowai is the administering agency for the Acceptable Solutions.

5. Publication

The Acceptable Solutions are published on the Water Services Authority—Taumata Arowai website https://www.taumataarowai.govt.nz.

6. Secondary legislation

The Acceptable Solutions are secondary legislation for the purpose of the Legislation Act 2019.
