I hereby give notice that I have approved the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services 2025 (“Code”) under clause 34 of schedule 5 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

The Code was made on 20 August 2025. This is the second version of the code made under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. It comes into force on 1 November 2025 and replaces the first version on that date.

The Code is secondary legislation under the Legislation Act 2019.

The Code is administered by the Code Committee. The Code is published on the Code Committee’s website at: https://financialadvicecode.govt.nz/2025/08/21/update-21-august-2025-a-new-version-of-the-financial-advice-code/.
