The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that it has issued the Mastercard and Visa Interchange Fee (Cross-reference Correction) Amendment Network Standard 2025 (“amendment network standard”) under sections 17 and 23 of the Retail Payment System Act 2022.

The amendment network standard was made on 14 August 2025.

The amendment network standard amends the Mastercard and Visa Interchange Fee Network Standard 2025 (“network standard”) to rectify a minor cross-referencing error in clause 6.1.18 of the network standard.

The amendment network standard is secondary legislation under the Legislation Act 2019.

The amendment network standard is administered by the Commission.

Copies of the network standard, its supporting decision and reasons paper, and the amendment network standard are available on the Commission’s website at: https://comcom.govt.nz/regulated-industries/retail-payment-system.
