Under the Legislation Act 2019, notice is given of the issue on 31 July 2025 of the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds under the Food Act 2014, which comes into force on 4 August 2025.

Notice is also given under clause 8(1)(d) of Schedule 6 of the Food Act 2014 that, under sections 444 and 445, the Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand is incorporated by reference as a standard work of reference into the notice.

A copy of the notice and the Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand may be inspected free of charge or purchased at a reasonable cost at the office of the Ministry for Primary Industries, Charles Fergusson Building, 38–42 Bowen Street, Wellington 6011.

The notice can also be viewed on the MPI food safety website: https://www.mpi.govt.nz/food-safety/ and the Nutrient Reference Values for Australia and New Zealand is freely available online and can be accessed at https://www.nhmrc.gov.au/about-us/publications/nutrient-reference-values-australia-and-new-zealand-including-recommended-dietary-intakes.
