Notification of Commerce Commission’s Gas Distribution and Transmission Information Disclosure (Non-material) Amendment Determination 2025
The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that under the Legislation Act 2019 and Part 4 of the Commerce Act 2001 (“Act”), that the Commission has determined and published the Gas Distribution Information Disclosure (Non-material) Amendment Determination – July 2025 [2025] NZCC 23 and the Gas Transmission Information Disclosure (Non-material) Amendment Determination – July 2025 [2025] NZCC 24 (together the “Non-material Amendment Determinations”).
Under section 52P of the Act, the Non-material Amendment Determinations amends the Gas Distribution Information Disclosure Determination 2021 [2021] NZCC 14 and the Gas Transmission Information Disclosure Determination 2021 [2021] NZCC 13 (together the “principal determinations”).
These non-material amendments replaces schedules in the principal determinations with new versions.
The Commission has replaced the following schedules in the principal determinations with new versions.
In respect of the Gas Distribution Businesses (GDB):
(a) Schedules 1–13 (year-end disclosures)
(b) Schedules 11a-13 (AMP disclosures)
(c) Schedules 5f-5g (Year-end disclosures, for Commission only)
In respect of the Gas Transmission Businesses (GTB):
(a) Schedules 1–13 (year-end disclosures)
(b) Schedules 11a-13 (AMP disclosures)
(c) Schedules 5f-5g (year-end disclosures, for Commission only)
The Commission has changed the schedules to make them more data centric, to make them easier to complete, and to make it easier for it to process the data. The Commission has changed the layout of the schedules and has not changed the requirements for the substantive data that must be completed in the schedules.
These non-material amendments come into effect on 3 July 2025.
