Land Transfer Act 2017 Notice
Notice of application to bring land under the Act is given under section 173(1) of the Land Transfer Act 2017.
Application 13210332.1 by Alastair Hugh McLees and Helen McLees, c/o AWS Legal, PO Box 1207, Invercargill 9840 (Attention: Trudy Conway) for land at Cambridge Street adjoining 137 Kent Street, Kingston 9793 being an estate in fee simple in 0.0047 hectares more or less, being Lot 1 on LT 617824 in the Southland Land Registration District and being Section 6A Block XIV Town of Kingston which is all of unregistered Crown Grant 19705 granted to Thomas Whitaker.
The applicants are applying to bring the land under the Act under section 172(1)(b), claiming to be entitled to the land on the grounds of continuous adverse possession of the land since at least 7 May 2002.
On or before 23 March 2026 a person specified in section 174(1) of the Act may lodge a caveat under that section to prevent the land being brought under the Act. If no caveats are lodged, a record of title will be issued in the name of the applicant.
