Notice of application to bring land under the Act is given under section 173(1) of the Land Transfer Act 2017.

Application 12487508.1 by Hurunui District Council, c/- Buddle Findlay (Attention: Scott Holdaway) PO Box 332, Christchurch 8140 for land between Parkview Road and Karaka Road being an estate in fee simple in 2640 square metres, more or less, being Lot 2 on LT 537857 in the Canterbury Land Registration District and being Part Rural Section 7540 which is part of Deeds Index Volume C10 Folio 7540 owned by George Henry Moore.

The applicants are applying to bring the land under the Act under section 172(1)(b), claiming to be entitled to the land on the grounds of continuous adverse possession of the land since 2005.

On or before 5 September 2025, a person specified in section 174(1) of the Act may lodge a caveat under that section to prevent the land being brought under the Act. If no caveats are lodged, a record of title will be issued in the name of the applicant.
