Notice is given under section 161(1)(a) of the Land Transfer Act 2017 of an application under section 155 for record of title based on adverse possession on the grounds set out below.

A person claiming an estate or interest in the land described may lodge a caveat under section 162 of the Act to prevent the application from being granted on or before 1 September 2025. If no caveats are lodged, the record of title will be issued and existing estates and interests extinguished.

Application 13248248.1 by Geoffrey Allan Horrell and Valerie Maureen Horrell for land at 1616 Waimea Highway, Mandeville being 1.7499 and 1.2630 hectares more or less, and being part of Section 247 Hokonui Survey District shown as Lot 1 on Land Transfer Plan 593743 and, Lot 1–8 and Lot 13 Block II DP 79A, in records of title SL7/188 and SL72/300 respectively in the Southland Land Registration District, owned by New Zealand Agricultural Company Limited.

The applicant claims to have been in continuous adverse possession of the land for 33 years.
