I, Dr Corina Grey, Director of Public Health, Ministry of Health, acting under delegation from the Minister of Health, and being satisfied that the provisions of section 45A(1) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 have been met, hereby make the following order under the Burial and Cremation Act 1964:

1. The Kiritehere Cemetery shall be reopened on and from 6 October 2025.
2. This reopening order is subject to the following exception and qualification: Kiritehere Cemetery shall be reopened subject to the following exception and qualifications: For the purpose of interring ashes in a cinderblock memorial wall located along the southern side of the cemetery.
3. The control and management of Kiritehere Cemetery is hereby vested in the Waitomo District Council.
