Pursuant to section 16(1) of the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation dated 12 June 2013, the Dunedin City Council, by resolution (Resolution CNL/2025/227 dated 26 August 2025), classifies the land described in the Schedule to be a local purpose (cemetery) reserve.
