Notice of Intention to Take Interest in Land for Road—Craig Flat Road, Central Otago District
Notice is hereby given that the Central Otago District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take an interest in land described in the schedule hereto (“land”).
The land is required for road purposes. It is intended to use the land as an integral part of Craig Flat Road within Council’s existing roading network. The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary to regularise a long outstanding occupation.
The owner of the land has been served with notice of Central Otago District Council’s intention to take the land and advised of its rights to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Ministry of Justice, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing will be held. The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires. Each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Easement in gross to convey electricity, created by Easement Instrument 8673376.1, over land situated on Craig Flat Road, Millers Flat, and described as Areas A and B on DP 430568 being Part Section 60, Block III, Benger Survey District and being comprised in Sections 2 and 3 shown on SO 504188 and registered in Record of Title OT3C/673, Otago Land Registry.
