Pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Robin Hugh Scott, extend the state of local emergency declared at 5.20pm on 30 October 2025 for Southland Region owing to a severe weather event in Southland, October 2025.

The state of local emergency is extended for 7 days. It will take effect immediately for the time the initial declaration of the state of emergency (or the last extension) was to expire.
