Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2022, I, Tim King, give notice of a local transition period over the area of Nelson City and Tasman District owing to the effects of the severe weather events in June 2025 and July 2025.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 4.47pm on Thursday, 17 July 2025, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 4.47pm on Thursday, 10 July 2025 for the area of Nelson City and Tasman District is expires:
2. is in force for 28 days, and
3. ends at 4.47pm on Thursday, 14 August 2025, unless extended or terminated earlier.
