Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Timothy Burfield King, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 9.05am on 27 June 2025 and extended at 10.25am on 3 July 2025 for the area of Nelson City and Tasman District owing to severe weather and evacuations.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
