Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2022, I, Tim King, give notice of a local transition period over the area of Nelson City and Tasman District owing to the effects of the severe weather event in June 2025.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 10.30am on 7 July 2025, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 9.05am on 27 June 2025 for the area of Nelson City and Tasman District is terminated
2. is in force for 28 days, and
3. ends at 10.30am on 4 August 2025, unless extended or terminated earlier.
