Section 71, Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002

I, Pauline Frances Cotter, extend the state of local emergency declared at 4.00pm on Thursday, 1 May 2025 for Christchurch District, and latterly reduced to Banks Peninsula Ward only, owing to high rainfall and soil saturation.

The state of local emergency is extended for 7 days. It will take effect immediately from the time the initial declaration of the state of emergency (or the last extension) was to expire.

For clarity this state of emergency is for Banks Peninsula Ward only.
