A compensation payment has been made to Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“Act”).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins.

On 14 October 2025, $5,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins, in respect of an offence for which Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Rowland Guy Hawkins aka Roland Guy Hawkins.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
