A compensation payment has been made to Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble in respect of a specified claim under the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“Act”).

The Act requires that after the Secretary of Justice makes certain deductions from the compensation payment, the surplus remaining goes into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account to enable victims of Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble to make claims against it.

Any money left after any victims’ claims have been paid will be paid to Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble.

On 28 February 2025, $20,000.00 was paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on behalf of Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble.

The money paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account is held in trust for Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble until it has been paid out in accordance with subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.

Any person who has been a victim of Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble, in respect of an offence for which Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble was convicted in a Court of New Zealand, is entitled to make a claim against the money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Anthony John Wheble aka Anthony Wheble.

Claims by victims are not limited to the amount available in the Trust Account.
