Notification of Amendment to Transpower’s Individual Price-quality Path
Under sections 52P and 52Q of the Commerce Act 1986, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that it has amended the price-quality path applicable to electricity lines services supplied by Transpower New Zealand Limited (“Transpower”) for the five-year regulatory period from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030 (“RCP4”).
The Commission has amended the Transpower Individual Price-Quality Path Determination 2025 [2024] NZCC 26 to specify additional expenditure allowances in accordance with the delivery risk adjustment reopener mechanism in the Transpower Input Methodologies Determination [2012] NZCC 17 (as amended) and the Transpower Individual Price-Quality Path Determination 2025 [2024] NZCC 26.
The amendments are set out in the Transpower Individual Price-Quality Path (Delivery Risk Adjustment) Amendment Determination 2025 [2025] NZCC 30.

The amendment determination comes into effect on 5 December 2025.
