Pursuant to clause 1 of Schedule 11 of the Education and Training Act 2020 (“Act”), the Minister for Vocational Education, gives the following notice:

Notice:

1. This notice may be cited as the Constitution of Ara Institute of Canterbury Council Notice 2025.
2. This notice comes into force on 21 November 2025.
3. In this notice, “Minister” means the Minister of the Crown who, under any warrant or with the authority of the Prime Minister, is for the time being responsible for the administration of Part 4 of the Act.
4. From 21 November 2025, the Council of Ara Institute of Canterbury (“Council”) comprises seven members.
5. The Council is constituted as follows:
1. Four members appointed by the Minister; and
2. Three members appointed by the Council.
6. For the purpose of clause 3(1) of Schedule 11 of the Act, a person may not be appointed as a Council member on more than three occasions.
