Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority hereby determines that “Candidatus Methylacidiphilum infernorum” (record ID from Biota of New Zealand: 118e18eb-2120-4326-9435-1ee610791cd4) is not a new organism for the purpose of the Act.
