Notification of Amendment to Input Methodologies for Electricity Distribution—Wash-up Amounts
The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice under section 52W of the Commerce Act 1986 (“Act”) that it has amended the Electricity Distribution Services Input Methodologies Determination 2012 [2012] NZCC 26 (“EDB IMs”), which apply to electricity distribution businesses. The amendments are secondary legislation made under Part 4 of the Act and the Legislation Act 2019.
The amendments are set out in the Electricity Distribution Services Input Methodologies (Wash-up Amounts) Amendment Determination 2024 [2024] NZCC 27 (“amendment determination”).
The amendment determination comes into force on 20 November 2024 and amends the EDB IMs to correct errors in the revenue wash-up and reduce the volatility of the revenue path for electricity distribution businesses.
