Notice of Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2025)

The Board of the Sport Integrity Commission (“Commission”) has made the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2025) (“2025 Rules”) under section 23 of the Integrity Sport and Recreation Act 2023.

The 2025 Rules amend the Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2024) (New Zealand Gazette, 4 December 2023, Notice No. 2023-sl5625) and incorporate existing and revised World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards.

The 2025 Rules incorporate by reference the following World Anti-Doping Agency International Standards:

  1. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard Prohibited List, effective 1 January 2025.
  2. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions, effective 1 January 2023.
  3. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Testing and Investigations, effective 1 January 2023.
  4. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Laboratories, effective 1 January 2021.
  5. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for the Protection of Privacy and Personal Information, effective 24 November 2021.
  6. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Code Compliance by Signatories, effective 1 April 2024.
  7. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Results Management, effective 20 May 2021.
  8. World Anti-Doping Agency International Standard for Education, effective 1 January 2021.

The 2025 Rules and the material incorporated by reference can be inspected free of charge during normal working hours at the Commission, Level 1, Building 2, Central Park Corporate Centre, 666 Great South Road, Auckland.

The Sports Anti-Doping Rules (2025) come into force on 1 January 2025.
