FIXED ODDS RACING RULES

28. RACING EXTRAS

28.3 For the “Box ‘X’ number of winners” market type only, where a particular box is affected by a scratching (or scratchings) and the number of scratched runners is equal to or greater than the number of runners that a particular contingency lost by (the number of winners still needed to win), bets on that contingency will be void and refunded. For clarity, bets that achieve their particular contingency despite scratching(s) will stand and be resulted accordingly.

(a) As an example of the operation of Rule 28.3:

(i) A bet has taken Box 5 to have 3+ winners. At the end of the race meet, Box 5 has one winner, but two of its runners were scratched from the meet. Box 5 could potentially have reached the required three winners if the scratched runners ran their races. Instead of being resulted as ‘no return’, this bet will be void and refunded.

28.43 Where a selection is involved in a dead heat for first place of a race at the relevant race meet, the selection will be considered as having a winner in that race for resulting purposes.

28.54 For contingencies where one (1) outright winner is expected, in the event of two or more selections being tied at the conclusion of the race meet, the relevant successful bets will be paid according to Dead Heats Rule 1.4.

28.65 If the relevant meeting for a Racing Extras market is postponed or cancelled, all wagers on that Racing Extras market will be void and refunded.

(a) If a wager is affected by Rule 28.65 but, at the time of the postponement or abandonment, the minimum winning criteria of the contingency for the wager has already been achieved (such as, but not limited to, three (3) winners have already run for ‘jockey to have 3+ winners’), that particular bet will instead stand and be resulted accordingly. For the sake of clarity, this Rule 28.65 cannot and does not apply to any Racing Extras contingencies that rely on the selection to perform ‘under’ a certain benchmark (for example, but not limited to, ‘box 8 to have under 2 winners’).
