Betting Rules Amendment Notice (No.9) 2024
Pursuant to sections 76 and 78 of the Racing Industry Act 2020, TAB New Zealand hereby gives notice of the following amendments to the Betting Rules published as a Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 30 April 2024, Notice No. 2024-sl1731.

2.2 At least 55 minutes of play must be completed from the start of the first quarter for bets to have action (to be valid), unless otherwise stated. If the match is abandoned before the end of the regular playing time, the results are regarded to be official after 55 minutes playing time unless an official result is ‘called by the American Football governing body’ before then. This applies to all markets, unless otherwise stated.
(a) Exception: The match must be completed for all live bets to stand. If the match is abandoned at any time, then all live bets will be void, except bets that were unconditionally determined at the time of the abandonment.
2.6 Money Line (Match Betting)
Overtime is included. If a game ends in a tie after overtime, bets will be settled in accordance with dead heat rules. 55 minutes of play must take place for bets to stand unless an official result is called by the relevant American Football governing body. If 55 minutes of play do not take place then all bets will be void except for bets that have been unconditionally determined. Overtime is included. These Rules come into force on 15 October 2024.
