The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that it is has amended the Transpower Input Methodologies Determination 2010 [2012] NZCC 17, which apply to Transpower New Zealand Limited (“Transpower”). The amendments are secondary legislation made under Part 4 of the Commerce Act 1986 (“Act”) and the Legislation Act 2019.

The amendments are set out in the Transpower Input Methodologies Amendment Determination 2024 [2024] NZCC 19. The amendments, which are secondary legislation, are made under the Legislation Act 2019 and Part 4 of the Act.

The amendments were made because they:

• were necessary to give effect to decisions made for the Transpower IPP RCP4 reset; or
• more effectively promote the Part 4 purpose in section 52A of the Act.
