The Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table, as amended by the Order, will be accessible in the same ways as above.
Commencement
The Order will come into force on 1 July 2024.
Effect of the secondary legislation
The Order amends the Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table (“Table”) to suspend and reduce the excise and excise-equivalent duties on certain tobacco products (products for use with tobacco heating systems) for the period of 1 July 2024 ending at the close of 31 December 2024. The Order also amends the Table to re-classify the same tobacco products in line with the structure of the Tariff.
