Notice of Intention to Take Leasehold Interest for Road for the Growth Cell 4 Project—South Waikato District
Notice is hereby given that South Waikato District Council (“Council”) proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the leasehold interest in the land described in the Schedule of this notice (“Land”) held by Green Frame Limited (“Lessee”) pursuant to an unregistered lease dated 10 May 2022 with a final expiry date of 31 May 2127 (“Lease Interest”).
The Lease Interest in the Land is required for construction of the Growth Cell 4 Project. More particularly the Land is required for road.
The reasons why Council considers it essential to take the Lease Interest are as follows:
The Lessee has been served with notice of Council’s intention to take its interest in the Land and advised of its right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Deputy Registrar, Environment Court, Specialist Courts and Tribunals Centre, Level 2, 41 Federal Street, Auckland 1010, or CX10086 Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
