Notice of Discontinued Official Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 10(1)(d), 24 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008 the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) gives notice of three discontinued official geographic names, as described in the schedule below.

These names relate to a geographic feature type that the Board no longer has naming jurisdiction for, therefore they should not be official geographic names.

The Board’s final determinations on these discontinued official geographic names took effect on 6 June 2024.
