Pursuant to section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Invercargill City Council, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Conservation, and pursuant to a Council resolution dated 19 December 2023, hereby changes the classification of the land described in the First Schedule from Recreation Reserve to Local Purpose (Recreational and Cultural Building and Associated Activities) Reserve and changes the classification of the land described in the Second Schedule from Local Purpose (museum) Reserve to Local Purpose (Recreational and Cultural Building and Associated Activities) Reserve, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.

And specifies that, the areas described in the First and Second Schedules are to be administered as an addition to the Local Purpose (Recreational and Cultural Building and Associated Activities) Reserve described in the Third Schedule and be subject to the management plan for that reserve, with the activity allowed for under the current management plan.
