Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Rehette Stoltz, further extend the local transition period given at 12.00pm on 25 June 2023, which I previously extended at 8.45am on 5 January 2024 and came into force at 12.00pm on 6 January 2024, over the Tairāwhiti Region owing to the cumulative impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle and the June severe weather event.

This extension of the transition period:

1. comes into force immediately before 12.00pm on 3 February 2024, which is the time and date when this current local transition period expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 12.00pm on 2 March 2024 unless extended or terminated earlier.
