Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Rehette Stoltz, further extend the local transition period given at 12.00pm on 25 June 2023, which I previously extended at 8.45am on 21 June 2024 and which came into force at 12.00pm on 22 June 2024, over the Tairāwhiti Region owing to the cumulative impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle and the June 2023 severe weather event.
This extension of the transition period:
- comes into force immediately before 12.00pm on 20 July 2024, which is the time and date when this current local transition period expires;
- is in force for 28 days; and
- ends at 12.00pm on 17 August 2024 unless extended or terminated earlier.
This is the 14th extension of the local transition period.
