Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Sandra Glenis Hazlehurst, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 4.45am on 26 June 2024 for the Heretaunga ward of Hastings District Council owing to inundation of residential areas from coastal swells.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
