Extension of Reporting Timeframes for Persons in Charge of Animals Under the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012 in the Wairoa Territorial Authority
Pursuant to section 34(2)(a)(i) of the National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) Act 2012 (“Act”), I, Simon Andrew, acting under authority as Chief Executive of National Animal Identification and Tracing Limited, which is the designated NAIT organisation, give notice of alternative time limits to those prescribed by Regulations made under the Act for the provision of information by any person in charge of animals (PICA).
The alternative time limits apply only to those PICAs with NAIT animals located within the Wairoa Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Area.

This extension comes into effect on the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette and expires 48 hours after the cessation of the applicable state of local emergency.
