Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Helen Margaret Lash, terminate the state of local emergency declared at Westland, at 2.37pm on 19 January 2024 for the Westland District owing to a severe weather event.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
