Pursuant to section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, and section 14(1)(a) of the Children and Young People’s Commission Act 2022, the Right Honourable Dame Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed:

Dr Claire Achmad, of Wellington

as Member and Chair of the Children and Young People’s Commission Board for a term of 5 years commencing 1 July 2023;

Donna Matahaere-Atariki, of Dunedin

as Member and Deputy Chair of the Children and Young People’s Commission Board for a term of 4 years commencing 1 July 2023;

Ronelle Kiterangi Baker, of Auckland

as Member of the Children and Young People’s Commission Board for a term of 3 years commencing 1 July 2023;

Dr Julie Wharewera-Mika, of Auckland

as Member of the Children and Young People’s Commission Board for a term of 3 years commencing 1 July 2023;

Josiah Tualamali'i, of Auckland

as Member of the Children and Young People’s Commission Board for a term of 3 years commencing 1 July 2023.
