Pursuant to section 160(3) and in relation to section 164 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, The Honourable Nicola Willis, Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that on 9 October 2024, we, The Honourable Nicola Willis, Minister of Finance, and The Honourable Judith Collins, King’s Counsel, Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, gave approval, under section 160(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, for Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand Limited to enter into forward foreign exchange transactions with His Majesty The King for the purposes of managing financial risks arising from international purchases entered into in the ordinary course of its operations where payment is denominated in foreign currency.

This approval will lapse on the 10th anniversary of this notice.
