I, Aaron Samuel, Supervising Customs Officer, Revenue and Assurance, New Zealand Customs Service, acting pursuant to section 8 of the Tariff Act 1988 under delegated authority, hereby:

1. withdraw with effect 14 days from the date of this New Zealand Gazette notice, or otherwise at the date so specified, the approvals granted in respect of the entry of goods listed in the Third Schedule to this notice;

Removal of Unused Reference 99 Tariff Concessions

The New Zealand Customs Service periodically reviews the list of tariff concessions made under tariff concession reference number 99 and remove those which have not been used to import goods in the last five years. The purpose for removing unused concessions is part of Customs efforts to ensure that the Consolidated List of Approvals remains current with the Working Tariff Document and does not become full of concessions that are no longer used by industry.

The unused concessions to be removed appear in the Third Schedule (Concession Approvals Withdrawn), prefixed by “RUC”– Revocation of Unused Concessions.

Should it prove necessary to reinstate a concession which has been removed, this will be done on request, effective from the concession’s original start date.
