Pursuant to Schedule 7 clause 3 of the Public Service Act 2020, the Acting Public Service Commissioner has appointed

Brook Barrington

to the position of Secretary of Defence and Chief Executive, Ministry of Defence from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2029, following acceptance by the Governor-General of New Zealand in Council of the Acting Public Service Commissioner’s recommendation.
